Role
While we’ve secured our series A round of funding, the current challenge is to ultimately deliver a commercially viable product. As we’re about to proof our concept of our newest architecture soon, it’s a long – yet challenging – (technical) road to go.
And that’s where you come in as our Technology Strategy Manager. Being part of the Management Team, it’s within your scope to define and implement Carbyon’s technology vision and strategy. This includes overseeing our cutting-edge technology across multiple domains such as materials science, chemistry and engineering to ensure that we keep making the correct technical choices to further improve our product.
As this is a newly created role within Carbyon, it comes with the unique opportunity to build from scratch.

- Communicate the technology strategy to stakeholders (e.g. investors, management team & board, and the team as a whole).
- Assist the engineering team with issues in the ongoing prototype projects.
Partnerships and Collaboration
- Collaborate with external partners (e.g. universities, research institutions, industry experts) to leverage cutting-edge technologies.
- Represent Carbyon at industry events, conferences and in public forums to build Carbyon’s reputation and network.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards, ensuring Carbyon’s compliance.
- Take responsibility for Carbyon’s IP strategy and the implementation of robust processes for IP Management (including patents, trade secrets and confidential information about key technology components).
